I read in Bottomfeeder that the nurdles (little plastic particles) in exfoliating scrubs are currently manufactured at the rate of 250 billion pounds per year. Isn't that mind boggling? And that it ends up in the oceans? More mind boggling. I like that we could eat your recipe if necessary and that it's really green. Yeah, green and green. Melissa's Green and Green Salt Scrub. It's so much nicer than that stuff from the grocery store, isn't it?

green bean, to be honest, I don't use much either, so don't look for any posts about eye shadow from me (I think the last time I wore eye shadow was when I dressed up as Cindy Lauper for Halloween when I was 7) but I'll probably cover some super basic stuff, like lotion, toothpaste, shampoo. Actually now that I think about it, my husband uses more cosmetics than I do. he he.

berrybird, I'd say this is probably more of a body scrub than a facial scrub. The oil is pretty moisturizing (although you could use other kinds too I suppose) but I used it on my feet, elbows, knees, etc. I think it'd be too oily for my face. I think for this I'm going to try something oatmeal based. Maybe just oatmeal and baking soda or something. I'll let you know what I come up with.

arduous, it'd be a good way to do a spa at home day without spending money! assuming you have all the ingredients already...Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00683655933935098511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302480784488907086.post-4061742176337626212008-07-09T09:48:00.000-07:002008-07-09T09:48:00.000-07:00Cool, thanks!! I have been yearning for something without the chemicals, and this may be it... My only concern is you said moisturizing, and that scares me because of my acne situation. Do you think the benefit of the exfoliation would outweigh the risk of over-moisturizing?BerryBirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01688522956177325844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302480784488907086.post-28938543445175365732008-07-09T07:25:00.000-07:002008-07-09T07:25:00.000-07:00Very cool.
